WHICH WEDDING RING SHOULD I CHOOSE?
Which wedding ring should I choose?
Besides your partner and photos, your wedding ring is one of the only things that you have left from your wedding day. You will wear your wedding ring for the rest of your life and with many wedding rings also getting passed down from generation to generation, it is really important to take some time to consider which ring you would finally purchase.
This blog will illustrate just some of the choices that you have and also what questions you need to ask to find your dream wedding ring.
There are so many different options for ladies’ or men’s’ wedding rings. We stock and manufacture dozens of different sizes, styles and designs. So where do you start?
We recommend that you visit our jewellers in Harrogate to try on many of the different styles. Until you try them, how do you know what feels and looks right?
These are just some of questions you need to ask before purchasing.
For Men’s wedding rings
What is your budget?
Prices start from just £120 for a plain lightweight 2mm 9ct yellow gold ring.
How does it feel? Is it comfortable on your finger?
There are quite a few different fits, such as flat court, edged court, slight court with the slightly rounded traditional court being our most popular shape.
Is it the right thickness and weight?
The rings generally come in light, medium or heavy weights.
What width of wedding ring suits your finger?
Our wedding rings start in 2mm and go up to any size you wish. Our most popular for me is a 4mm or 5mm width.
Would you like a plain ring or one with a design or bespoke cut?
To personalise your ring, you can also add a choice of 30 handmade cut designs and/or an engraving to the inside of the ring.
Would you like it diamond set?
We can also add a diamond or another gemstone to further individualise your wedding ring.
What metal do you prefer?
You generally have these main choices, 9ct or 18ct yellow or rose gold, 9ct or 18ct white gold or platinum. We have also just recently manufactured a beautiful mixed white and yellow gold wedding ring.
We have added some profiles on to our website to give you some idea of the different styles and how they would look .
Ladies wedding rings
The choice for ladies wedding rings is even larger and your decision for a wedding ring should probably start when purchasing your engagement ring. When picking your engagement ring, we would also suggest you think what wedding ring will fit around it and whether it is a wed fit or not. Otherwise, this could mean you having far less choice when picking your life long wedding ring.
