A large 9 carat emerald cut amethyst sits high on this vintage cocktail ring. It’s a deep, rich purple, and its long step-cut facets catch the light in bright flashes of violet and plum.
It’s held by four claws above a pierced 9ct yellow gold gallery with flowing scrollwork you can see from every side. Split shoulders lead into a smooth band, the kind of detail you find on well-made British rings from the 1960s and 70s.
A pre-loved vintage ring for people who like a statement. It’s a lovely birthday gift for a February baby, or a ring to bring out for parties and special occasions. Size M.

What is an emerald cut?
A rectangular step cut with long, flat facets. Instead of lots of small sparkles, it shows off the stone’s colour and clarity in broad flashes of light.
What is amethyst?
Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, loved for its rich violet colour. It’s the birthstone for February.
Is it suitable for everyday wear?
It’s a statement ring that’s best for occasions and evenings out. Take it off for washing up, cleaning and the gym so the stone stays protected.
Can the ring be resized?
Yes, our workshop can resize it. Message us and we’ll advise.
How do I care for amethyst?
Keep it out of strong sunlight for long periods, as this can fade amethyst over time. Clean it with warm soapy water and a soft brush.
