Vintage Pre-Loved 22ct Yellow Gold Natural Ruby and Sapphire Cross Pendant

A small cross set with six natural rubies and a deep blue sapphire at its centre hangs freely inside two overlapping gold circles. Each stone sits in its own claw setting, so the colour shows clearly against the warm gold. The rubies have the slight natural variation in tone you only get with real stones, from raspberry pink to deep red.

The circles have a diamond-cut finish that catches the light as the pendant moves, and the cross swings gently inside them. It's a small piece with a lot going on. At 22ct, the gold has a deep, buttery colour you rarely see in UK jewellery.
