Vintage Gucci 85th Anniversary Rabbit Fur Horsebit Hobo Bag, Limited Edition 2006 - Pristine Condition

Twenty years old, and nobody has ever carried it.

In 2006, Gucci turned 85, and Frida Giannini marked the occasion with a limited anniversary collection built around the house’s most famous emblem: the Horsebit. This hobo is one of those pieces. Soft fur body, leather shoulder straps, the original Gucci print lining, and the polished gold-tone Horsebit sitting front and centre like a piece of jewellery.

Most of these bags have long since been loved, carried and worn. This one has spent its life in its dust bag. The fur is full, the leather is unmarked and the hardware still gleams.

I chose it because pieces like this simply don’t come up unworn. For a collector of early 2000s Gucci, it’s a rare find. For anyone else, it’s a bag no one else in the room will have.
