Vintage Akoya Pearl Necklace with 9ct Gold Pearl Cluster Clasp 15"

Round 6mm Akoya pearls glow with a bright, mirror-like lustre and soft rose overtones, warmed with age to a lovely creamy tone. Akoya pearls are the classic Japanese saltwater pearl, prized for their perfectly round shape and sharp shine. Each pearl is individually knotted, and the strand is finished with gold wire gimp at the clasp, a traditional sign of careful stringing.

The clasp is the star. It’s crafted in 9ct yellow gold and set with a cluster of eleven pearls around a larger centre pearl, framed by delicate engraved gold leaves. It’s so pretty you can wear it at the front as a feature.

At 15 inches (38cm) it’s a true collar length, sitting high and neat at the base of the neck. Perfect with a crew neck, a little black dress or a wedding outfit.
