Vintage 1960s 14ct Gold Natural Purple Sapphire and Diamond Dome Cluster Ring 2.35ct
A 1960s cocktail ring with real drama, built in tiers like a blooming flower.
A round natural purple sapphire crowns the top of this domed cluster ring, held high on four claws. Around it, a ring of sparkling diamond accents forms a delicate flower, and below them eight pear-shaped purple sapphires fan out like petals, each in its own claw setting.
Polished gold spokes and small gold beads frame each sapphire, so the colour flashes between bands of gold from every angle. The nine mixed cut natural sapphires glow in rich shades of raspberry, plum and violet, with a certified total weight of 2.35 carats.
Tiered “bombé” cluster rings like this were the height of glamour in the 1960s, and this one has all the height and sparkle of the era. At a substantial 7.72g, it rests on a split shank in 14ct yellow gold and is fully UK hallmarked.
A vintage statement ring for someone who loves colour. Perfect for parties, a September birthday, or a 45th sapphire anniversary. Size M½.
