Pre-Loved Vintage 15ct Yellow Gold Five-Stone Ruby Ring - Size P
This is a genuinely special find, and not just because of the rubies. 15ct gold was only ever used in Britain between 1854 and 1932, before the standard was phased out in favour of the 9ct, 12ct, 18ct and 22ct we still use today. That makes any 15ct piece a proper antique by definition, and a nice bit of jewellery history to own alongside the ring itself.
Five marquise-cut rubies march across the front in a row, each held in a delicate rope-twist gold surround with a pierced gallery beneath, letting light through the setting in a way that's typical of the fine, detailed work from this period. The rich pink-red of the rubies against warm 15ct gold gives it real colour and presence without being a heavy ring.
At 2.8g it's light and comfortable for everyday wear, and it comes to us pre-loved and in good condition for its age.
Every pre-loved piece at Fogal & Barnes is checked over by hand, we're always honest about what you're getting, and with a piece this old, that's part of the appeal rather than a flaw.
